Quality and Ergonomics Specialist

Job Description

Department|Sector : Manufacturing
Supervisor : Project Director
Supervised position : None 

Duties and Functions:

Under the supervision of the project director, the quality and ergonomics specialist ensures that quality standards are met; drafts and improves product documentation; designs graphic elements, animations, demonstrations and tutorials.  Also performs beta testing in accordance with the processes and quality standards established by Dunin Technologie.

 

Responsibilities:

QUALITY

 

  • Rigorously ensure that software quality standards are met
  • Participate at  the quality committee
  • Prepare | hold meetings with users

DOCUMENTATION

  • Develop procedures pertaining to the elaboration of documentation intended for users as well as the on line help section.
  • Write comprehensibly (break down into understandable parts), update, publish and properly classify all documentation intended for users.

ERGONOMICS AND WEB

 

  • Improve the software's ergonomics (interfaces and reports) suitably, so that it meets the software ergonomics specifications in effect.
  • Meet human machine interface (HMI) standards, brand strategy, navigation and stylistic needs of the software or the Web application. 
  • Update the Web site's content.

TESTING

 

  • Maintain and perform testing scripts pertaining to applications' ergonomics, and conduct functional testing.
  • Document results and faults by following-up on the resolution.

Position Requirements:  

  • College diploma in graphic design or a vocational diploma in computer graphics or relevant experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as  quality specialist, graphic designer, computer graphics designer or technical writer
  • Excellent skills in both English and French, spoken and written  
  • Good knowledge of information technologies at the application level
  • Capable of using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)  as well as other composition, page layout and graphics software (Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator or others)
  • Have a clear understanding of technical writing concepts
  • Excellent ability to explain technical documents and testing scripts in simple terms
  • Be on the leading edge of trends in design standards, both in documents and on the Web

Smart Systems Integrator

Job Description

Duties and Functions:

Under the supervision of the project director, the smart systems integrator ensures that the systems put forward meet the needs of the customers (included at the scope of the project), and assists the customer in the implementation of the application in his platform, in accordance with the processes and quality standards established by Dunin Technologie.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the customer's computing and business needs by including a process map and producing notes 
  • Analyse the computing needs with the system analyst and develop a solution, as well as functional specifications
  • Submit the solution to the customer for approval 
  • Support system production and teams development
  • Prepare users' guide  and training materials 
  • Supervise and offer training to users
  • Confirm that the application is functioning as intended (beta testing), if needed
  • Parameterize the application in the customer's platform  
  • Confirm that the system is functioning as intended
  • Support the customer for application start-up   
  • Program business rules via  the configuration system
  • Program data retrieval forms  
  • Program reports

Position Requirements:

  • Possess an undergraduate degree in computer science, computer management, industrial engineering or relevant experience
  • Have extensive knowledge of the manufacturing sector
  • Have three years experience in implementing manufacturing computer systems
  • Be proficient in French, spoken and written (5/5) and have a very good knowledge of English, spoken and written (4/5)

Programmer-Analyst

Job Description

Supervised Position : None

Duties and Functions:

Under the immediate authority of the project director, the programmer-analyst is responsible for the technical development of applicative components based on the functional specifications, in accordance with the processes and quality standards established by Dunin Technologie.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete the programming needs analysis, if needed 
  • Produce the technical specifications  
  • Prepare design documents (reviewed by the architect and approved by the head of R&D) prior to starting programming  
  • Design test scripts  
  • Encode and conduct unit testing
  • Prepare the technical documentation reviewed by the architect
  • Correct detected faults, if needed
  • Execute query after the solution has been designed, and pre-validated by the system architect 

Position Requirements:

  • Possess an undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or in a related discipline  
  • Have a minimum of three years experience as programmer analyst
  • Demonstrate skills for preparing technical documentation (specifications, design, test scripts)
  • Be proficient in French, spoken and written (5/5) and have a good knowledge of English, spoken and written  (3/5)
